A San Antonio phone repair shop that specializes in cracked screens is having a hard time keeping up with its customers.
According to The Huffington, a number of repair shops have cracked phones at their doors in recent months.
San Antonio has a total of 11 repair shops that are required by the U.S. Department of Transportation to install screens, which is part of a wider trend toward consumers purchasing phones at the same time they are repairing them.
The issue is particularly prevalent in San Antonians who rely on public transportation and are not able to take their phones to the nearest repair shop.
The problem is particularly acute in the San Antonio area.
In August, the San Francisco Chronicle reported that San Antonio’s public transit system has reported an increase in phone thefts, with some customers reported having their phones stolen at stations around the city.
This year, the Chronicle also reported that a public transit employee was robbed of her iPhone while she was on her way to a work meeting.
