Tesla Motors Inc. has a lot of potential problems with the carpet, according to a report released Tuesday.
Tesla has a reputation for being the best customer service and most affordable auto company in the U.S. but according to the report, the company has a problem with the way the carpet on its vehicles is constructed.
The company also faces criticism for having its vehicles damaged by carpenter’s equipment.
In one case, a Tesla employee was caught on camera repairing a car with an electric drill.
Tesla said it was investigating the incident.
Tesla’s chief executive officer, Elon Musk, told investors in September that it takes care of customer service issues “very seriously,” and he said the company was working on a new approach to dealing with carpet problems.
Musk also said Tesla was testing out a new carpet-repairing technique to address the problem.
Tesla Motors Inc., which has a $68 billion valuation, has been criticized for its lackluster customer service.
Musk said at a media event in October that Tesla has had trouble with customers complaining about its repair service.
